The Tiles menu is added as a “Custom overlay” XML file hiding what ever Microsoft is adding to the Default Tiles overlay XML file. (Candy Crush Saga etc.)
The beauty of this is that when MS installs/updates apps at a later time, they do not mess up the users Tiles Menu. At the same time the user can add, change or remove tiles as they prefer it.
All changes made by the user is added tio their copy of the Custom overlay XML file.
– Be aware that the custom overlay will only be in effect to NEW users logging in AFTER the implementation.
To add the Tiles settings to any PC deployed with SCCM/MDT, build a simple package without a program, just containing the customlayout.xml file.
Then in the Task Sequence in the State Restore section add a Run Command line step that imports the customlayout.xml file.
Of course you can always add more custom files to that package and let Task sequence variables, or the through the install command, decide what customlayout.xml file to add to a given PC
